1. Wat Yannawa
Wat Yannawa is a beautiful Buddhist temple built during the Ayutthaya period and originally named Wat Khok Kwai, or buffalo stable. A representation of a Chinese junk was built in the temple grounds during the reign of King Rama III, and the temple was renamed Wat Yannawa, which loosely means boat temple.

4. Bangkok Canal Tour
Although not strictly in Sathorn, the canal tour area is just across the river and well worth a detour if you’re in the area. Longtail boats can be hired at Tha Chang Pier near the Grand Palace. You’ll explore the narrow canals and glimpse an old Bangkok lifestyle that’s seldom seen anymore. You’ll cruise past homes and small shops that use the canal as a roadway and the only means of access. It’s a peaceful way to tour a charming and beautiful area of the city.
5. Lumphini Park

The Skywalk is on the top floor of the 78-floor Mahanakhon Building near Chong Nonsi BTS station. It features a glass-bottomed observation area that offers a heart-stopping see-through view of the city below.
8. Samyan Mitrtown
This mixed-use shopping and working complex near Sathorn on Rama IV Road has become a magnet for food lovers and visitors. Located next door to Chulalongkorn University, with its young and vibrant students, it has many delicious and inexpensive food stalls and restaurants. 9. M.R. Kukrit’s House
M.R. Kukrit Pramoj was Thailand’s the prime minister of Thailand from 1974 to 1975, and he and his home on Soi Suan Phlu in the Sathorn area were famous for the crowds of journalists outside during those turbulent times. Today you can walk the grounds and see the rooms and belongings of the famous residence. The home is a stunningly beautiful construction of five traditional wooden homes among flowering gardens in the heart of the city.
